The MPO/MTP Fiber Optic Patch Cord is made up of a multi-core fiber optic cable and a corresponding high-density MPO/MTP connector, which can have a 8/12/24 core. The connector can be either male or female with a guide pin.
The cable itself can have 4~144 core, which can be either single mode or multi-mode. The single-mode fiber has three types, G652D / G657A1 / G657A2. While the multi-mode fiber has 62.5/125, 10G OM2 / OM3 / OM4, or bending insensitive 10G multi-mode cable.
